Esther G. Pedraza, age 85, of Napoleon, Ohio, died Wednesday morning at her home.
Born July 4, 1923 in Matamoros, Mexico, the daughter of Hilario and Carmen (Buentello) Garza. On August 28, 1948 she married Simon T. Pedraza, who survives of Napoleon.
Esther retired from the Campbell Soup Co. of Napoleon after 22 years of service. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church of Napoleon.
Surviving also are 3 sons Ramiro (Jan) Fonseca, Raul (Mary) Fonseca, Arturo (Leota) Pedraza; 3 step sons Simon (Emma) Pedraza, David Pedraza, Marco A. (Sonia) Pedraza, 4 daughters Bella (Baldamer) Zuniga, Norma Tellez, Letisia (Robert) Moon, Sylvia (Chris) Damko; 3 step daughters Elvia (Pedro) Cano, Amelia M. (Frank) Avina, Rosalva (Toby) Garza; 51 grandchildren, 78 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren; 1 brother Hilario Garza, 1 sister Dolores Garza.
She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, 1 grandson and 1 great grandson.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Augustine Catholic Church, Father Dan Borgelt, celebrant. Interment will be made in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, Ohio on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where a rosary service will be held at 8:30 p.m.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to the church memorial fund or Henry County Hospice.
