Biography

Elizabeth T. Long, age 87, of Napoleon, Ohio, died Sunday morning at the Napoleon Lutheran Home.
Born November 18, 1921 in Athens County, Ohio, the daughter of John and Kathryn (Vasvery) Vasvery. On September 24, 1941 she married Donald F. Long and he preceded her in death on April 27, 1997.
She was a former employee of the Napoleon Products Co. and the Perfection Finishing Co. of Wauseon. She also worked at several Henry Co. restaurants. She was a auxiliary member of the American Legion Post 340, Holgate, Ohio, the VFW Post 3360, the Eagles Lodge 372, Moose Lodge 2094, all of Defiance, Ohio and a member of the Henry County Senior Center.
Surviving is one son J.D. ) Long, Milton, Florida; 1 daughter Cheryl (Ben) Noble, Taylors, South Carolina; 2 grandchildren and 6 foster grandchildren.
She was preceded in death also by 1 daughter Linda Benien, 4 brothers John, Joseph, Steve and William Vasvery.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Walker Mortuary, Rev. Lee Genter, officiating. Interment will be made in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
