Biography


Jack L. Myers, age 74, of Napoleon, Ohio, died Saturday afternoon at the Napoleon Lutheran Home.
Born June 20, 1935 in Napoleon, Ohio, the son of Howard and Helena (Wisenberger) Myers. On March 11, 1970 he married Judy Willeman, who survives of Napoleon.
Jack worked in management at the Campbell Soup Co. of Napoleon for 41 years, retiring in 1998. He was a U.S. Navy veteran where in served on the submarine USS Bang. He was a former member of Christ United Methodist Church. He was a member of the American Legion Post 300, Napoleon, Ohio where he served many years as honor guard, the VFW Post, New Bavaria, Ohio and the Elks Lodge #929, Napoleon, Ohio, where he was 3 times Exaulted Ruler and past district deputy. He was a 1953 graduate of Napoleon High School and attended Bowling Green State University.
Surviving also is two sons Jack (Tina) Myers, Rob (Cynthia) Myers, both of Napoleon, Ohio; three grandchildren; one brother Larry “Mick” (Harriet) Myers of California and one sister Sandra Meyer, Westhope, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by a grandson Ryan Myers.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, Ohio, Rev. Lee Genter, officiating. Interment will be made in Glenwood Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by the joint veterans posts of Napoleon.
Friend may call at the mortuary on Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m., where a Elks Memorial Service will be held at 8 p.m.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to Honor Flight for WWII veterans to Washington, D.C.
