Biography
Robert F. Deblin, age 89, of Napoleon, Ohio and formerly of Arlington, Virginia, died Wednesday evening at the Napoleon Lutheran Home.
Born November 11, 1920 in Napoleon, Ohio, the son of William and Ella (Eggers) Deblin.
Robert was a WW II Navy veteran, where he served from 1939 and retired in 1959. He was a supervisor in the F.A.A. Avionics Shop, Washington National Airport, where he retired in 1973. He attended the Fairlington United Methodist Church.
Surviving is one sister Jo Ann Foster, Archbold, Ohio. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by three brothers George W., John and James Deblin and one sister Mary Thompson.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 2, 2010, in the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, Ohio, Rev. Lee Genter, officiating. Interment will be made in Glenwood Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by the joint veterans posts of Napoleon, Ohio.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Saturday from 12 noon up to the time of the service at 2 p.m.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to the Napoleon Lutheran Home, the Henry County Humane Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
