Biography
Gary L. Daman age 66, of Napoleon, Ohio, died Tuesday afternoon at his residence.
Born October 31, 1943, in Napoleon, the son of the late Carl and Laura (Cordes) Daman. On December 5, 1970 he married Cheryl Barton and she survives of Napoleon.
Gary was the past President and owner and operator of Daman and Daman, Inc. of Napoleon. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Napoleon. He served in the Ohio Army National Guard and was a member of the Bert G. Taylor American Legion Post 300. Gary was a well known trumpet player with the Buckeye Polka Band which played all over Ohio from 1973 – 1983.
Surviving also is one son, Scott (Krista) Daman of Columbus, OH; daughter, Brenda (Brian) Bishop of Worthington, OH; and one granddaughter, Aubrey Bishop.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Orville Daman.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday (Nov. 20, 2009) at the Walker Mortuary, Rev. James Castello, officiating. Interment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the WALKER MORTUARY on Friday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service.
The family suggested memorials be made to the Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hospice of Henry County, or a charity of the donor’s choice..
