Martha A. Kryling, age 88, of Napoleon, Ohio, died Friday morning at the Napoleon Lutheran Home.
Born January 9, 1921 in Ridgeville Corners, Ohio, the daughter of Martin W. and Annette (Kruse) Brandt. On April 20, 1941 she married Carl L. Kryling and he preceded her in death on February 4, 2002.
Martha was a interior decorator for the Kryling Decorating Service of Napoleon for 42 years, retiring in 1997. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Napoleon and was a ladies auxiliary member of the Napoleon E.M.S., the American Legion Post 300 and the VFW Post 8218, all of Napoleon.
Surviving are three daughters Mary Ann Burdue, Marilyn (Jake) Sickmiller - Kennedy, both of Napoleon, Phyllis (Paul) Scare, Greenville, Indiana; 7 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren , 1 great great grandson and one sister Marie Miller, Ridgeville Corners, Ohio.
She was preceded in death also by 1 grandson, Larry Burdue, son in law Jerry Burdue and brother in law Kenneth Miller.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Rev. Peter Marcis and Rev. John Holyer, officiating. Interment will be made in Glenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, Ohio on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to the church, the Napoleon Lutheran Home or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
