Laura A. Kruse, age 93, of Napoleon, Ohio, died Friday morning at the Golden Living Center Northcrest Nursing Home.
Born September 10, 1916 in Malinta, Ohio, the daughter of Perry and Ruth (Gunter) Austermiller. On March 16, 1947 she married Fred Kruse and he preceded her in death on June 24, 1980.
Laura was a devoted housewife and mother. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Liberty Center, Ohio. She loved working in her garden at home.
Surviving is two daughters Joan (David) Bailey, Defiance, Ohio, Jane (Ron) Buenger, Napoleon, Ohio; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death also by 1 grandson Daniel F. Buenger and 1 sister Hazel Gerken.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Liberty Center, Ohio, Rev. Keith F. Witte, officiating. Interment will be made in Riverview Memory Gardens, rural Defiance County, Ohio.
Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, Ohio on Sunday from 2 to 8.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to the church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
