Biography

Lovina A. Yocom, age 71, of Napoleon, Ohio died Friday afternoon at the St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee.
Born November 8, 1937 in Fulton County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Daniel C. and Fannie Mae (Miller) Grieser. On August 3, 1956 she married James F. Yocom and he survives.
Lovina was a member of the Malinta Memorial United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher. She retired in 1998 after 25 years with the Napoleon City Schools as the cafeteria manager at C.D. Brillhart School.

Surviving are a son, Steven (Lois) Yocom of Napoleon; daughters, Dawn (Jon) Hoops of Napoleon, Cindi (Gary) Wagner of Marblehead, OH; brother, Paul (Iris) Grieser of Pettisville; sisters, Pauline (Richard) Veerecke of Wauseon, Colleen VanArnsdalen of Scottsdale, AZc; sister in-law, Carolyn Doty of Napoleon; brother in-law, Daryl Froelich of Napoleon; grandchildren, Joe Wagner of Marblehead, Rachel Hoops of Athens, OH, Ellen Hoops of Napoleon and Meredith Hoops of Napoleon.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Walker Mortuary, Rev. Mary Kay, officiating. Interment will be made in Hoy Cemetery, Harrison Township, Ohio.
Friends will be received at the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, Ohio on Tuesday from 2 – 5 and 6- 8 PM.

The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to the Malinta Memorial United Methodist Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
