Biography

Lillian Arbutus Newberry McCain, age 82, died due to Congestive Heart Failure Sunday morning at The Toledo Hospital.
Lillian was born September 3, 1927 in Viers, Virginia, the daughter of the late Samuel Perry and Alice Calnona (Stanley) Newberry. On August 31, 1970 she married Dewey E. McCain and he preceded her in death on October 12, 1993.
Lillian was of the Pentecostal Faith and lived in Napoleon, Ohio. She worked at Campbell Soup, the Wire Factory, Northwest Signal and Home Care until retiring in 2006.

Lillian will be especially remembered by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. Surviving are sisters, Cora Mae (Ted) Thornsberry and Dixie Fay (Jess) Thornsberry; sons, Robert (Kim) Harmon , Kermit (Theresa) Harmon, Bruce (Carol) Harmon, Kenneth Harmon, Theodore Harmon; daughters, Barbara (Russell) Hamm, Rosie (Jack) Williams, and adopted daughter, Midge (Bill) Stout; step children, Boyd (Bonnie) McCain, Dewey McCain Jr., Kevin McCain; 16 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by Dewey McCain, Earl Harmon, Cynthia Harmon, Brian McCain and Connie Howle.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Walker Mortuary, Rev. Charles Alley, officiating. Interment will be made in Grelton Cemetery.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc.
