Lillian D. Franz

January 11, 1928 - September 17, 2009

Lillian D. Franz, age 81, of Florida, Ohio, died Thursday evening at the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
Born January 11, 1928 in Henry County, Ohio, the daughter of Henry and Ida (Bartels) Arps. On March 22, 1952 she married Paul E. Franz and he preceded her in death on March 31, 2008.
Lillian was a devoted housewife and mother. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Florida, Ohio.
Surviving are two sons Gary (Deb) Franz, Napoleon, Ohio, Steve (Kathie) Franz, Holgate, Ohio; one daughter Connie (Jerry) Lindhorst, Napoleon, Ohio; 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter and 1 sister Laura Eitzman, Hamler, Ohio.
She was preceded in death also by 1 daughter Carol Sue Franz, February 24, 1983, 1 grandson Gary Franz Jr. and 1 sister Lulu Sonnenberg.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Peter Lutheran Church, Florida, Ohio, Rev. Gary Bernath, officiating. Interment will be made in Riverview Memory Gardens, rural Defiance County.
Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, Ohio on Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to the St. Peter Lutheran Pre-School, the Lutheran Hour or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
